Happy Belated Thanksgiving!

As I stood in line at the Disney Store this morning among the other crazy shoppers, I realized that as bad as the economy is… everyone is still shopping! Of course shoppers are much more aware of how much their spending and people are holding tighter to their wallets, but I got to say, the number of anxious shoppers just waiting to get into the store isn’t much less than last year. And by the looks of the parking lots this morning, I’m pretty certain this phenomenon is not limited to the Disney Store.

We don’t buy DVDs too often. Usually only when something really good comes out or when the kids just “have to have it”. So when Kung Fu Panda came out today, I was thrilled because:

1) We were all in agreement that it’s a must own

2) It eliminated any unnecessary whining and…

3) it brought a huge smile to my baby’s face.

Let me start off by saying every woman (and some deserving men) should get pampered every once in awhile. In my case it’s about every 6 months. As I sit here and write this blog entry, I am getting one of the best damn pedicures I’ve ever gotten… Ever! And all I can think about is the long laundry list of things to do including writing this blog entry. Hey I’m a mom… Relaxing doesn’t come easy anymore!

Besides pedis… My other favorite thing to do for pampering is body wraps. That’s right! Wrap me up and pull off those extra pounds cuz a girl can surely use it! My favorite spot? Avra Organic Spa in San Francisco! First off, the owner Tira is awesome and completely believes in organic and natural products. Second, I seriously lost like 3-4 pounds after my first wrap. Lastly, it was quiet and complete solitude for a good 45 minutes. What else can you ask for?
